After a successful first edition launched ahead of the Generation Equality Forum held in Paris, France in 2021, Towards Equality has become an International Women’s Day tradition for us, Sparknews, and our trusted media partners.

Over three editions, we’ve joined forces with a total of 22 media organizations based in 18 countries. These collaborations gave way to the publication of news stories showing the nuances and realities of gender inequality across the globe, and highlighting some of the positive changes that are happening – in the hope that they serve as inspiration for a more equal and just world.
